Welcome! And thanks for taking some time to learn about my path of Yoga.

I developed a passion for self-expression through movement at a young age; later academic pursuit of psychology satisfied my interest in the complexities of the mind. My journey towards greater health and peace then led to asana, pranayama, and meditation. Yoga practice finally integrated my understanding of the connections between body, mind and spirit.

I have studied with extraordinary teachers in America and India, spent months pursuing a spiritual lifestyle at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, took part in Todd Norian's Yoga Teacher Training, and became certified in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Overseas, I practiced Iyengar Yoga and Vipassana meditation as taught by S. N. Goenka. My teaching style also draws upon the heart of Anusara Yoga and emphasizes details of alignment and the use of props as characterized by B.K.S. Iyengar. Yoga classes are safe, fun, challenging; a celebration of being alive!

My instructors, years of practice and work with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy have helped me develop a growing knowledge of mind-body mechanics and an ability to support others' journey of self-discovery in a non-judgmental way.
