With heartfelt gratitude to our Yogi Gardener, Heidi Schultz: the back garden at the Yoga Center has blossomed -- even in this season's Spring direct-delivered from the Arctic Circle. While we all walk past on our way to yoga, movement or meditation, few fail to notice our swath of green, with it's dashes of color and sprays of scent. Caught while it is here with us, and captured on a web page against our next long winter (!), here is a brief tour of our Yoga garden -- complete with Buddha!

Every farewell a hello: pass beneath the grape arbor, and the street
is left behind you, while an hour of rest and camaraderie waits for you on
the other side...

There has been just enough sunlight filtering through the clouds
and rain to make these northern perennials happy, and ourselves
surprised and pleased.

Grandmother's peonies.

... or a bench to watch it all from a quiet distance.

But tour the garden, and you can take in a bit of color and fragrance before
you lose your shoes. Hollyhocks, Foxgloves, Peonies, Iris, the Omnipresent
and Eternal Hastas...

There have been human hands at work here as well, of course!

A place to share your cup of tea and a word or two, before class or after...

Then, when you're ready, let the garden fall behind, every departure an arrival.

Plenty.
