Welcome to the latest incarnation of The Yoga Center of Newburyport. Since 1992 we have been evolving and expanding. With maturity comes a clarity of purpose and a purity in our teachings. We strive to make these ancient teachings come alive in our community and in ourselves.
This past summer and fall, the physical building has been completely renovated and transformed and we are starting 2016 with this new website and video to clearly represent our vision and who we are to the greater community. Both of these endeavors have been created by the amazingly talented Brian Cassin.
The depth of our teachers and teachings continues to expand as we bring more subtle practices to our community. We support from the beginner to the advance student in expanding their yoga and meditation practice.
I am also very excited to be launching a blog series to share and express my thoughts and experiences. In a light hearted way I am calling it "Manny's world”.
For as far back as I can remember I have had this profound interest in all things spiritual; the science, the sacred, the mystical…. I have been a full time yogic teacher and practitioner for over 20 years and have been integrating these many teachings into the way I choose to live my life.
My closest friends call it “life according to Manny” or “Manny’s world”. Many have been encouraging me to share this perspective to a larger audience. To take it beyond the walls of the Yoga Center and this tight community of like minded friends.
This is the start of trying to place into words a lifetime of exploration and practice that guided me back to a place I could never leave, I just forgot it was there. Our perspective is what separates all the potential experiences in each moment. The spiritual path has taken me on a round trip back to where I started, along the way there are many things to explore and to let go.
I see these teachings as common sense living… Simple truths that are timeless. But just because they are simple, it does not mean that it does not require effort. On the contrary, it is our common practice to go in the other direction and make things messy and complicated.
I look forward to playing with you on the mat, on the meditation cushion and on-line as we continue to grow and evolve together.
Love & Blessings,
