Yoga is a unique and dynamic discipline that encompasses all aspects of your being. It is an awesome physical practice that develops flexibility, strength, balance and poise. It is also a powerful mental and spiritual discipline that helps you become more centered and joyful. Developed over 6000 years ago, this ancient practice includes physical postures and breathing exercises, as well as meditation and philosophy. By balancing all systems of your body and your being, yoga helps you to relax and focus into a centered and peaceful place; from there you can face life's daily challenges with grace, joy and skill.
 
Our teaching is strongly inspired by Anusara Yoga, an elegant and uplifting approach founded by John Friend in 1997. Grounded in deep knowledge of whole body alignment, this system beautifully combines a strong physical practice with deep spiritual understanding. Based in Tantric philosophy, it honors each of us as the embodiment of divine essence and celebrates that manifestation in our daily lives. The physical practice in Anusara Yoga brings you to optimal body alignment, but recognizes that yoga is not really about the final pose; it is about the transformation you go through to get there. It all comes together in a seriously playful exploration and celebration of who you truly are.
